17:22 Ákos Simon: Hi! I write from Hungary, and I have a Palm Pre Plus, that somebody bought for me in Germany, by O2.
My problem is, that it seems to be inpossibile for me (with my "hungarian" mobile number) to install an application on my Phone. On Your site can I only chhose from 7 lands, as target - ofcorse there is no Hungary. And on my phone the App Catalog shows also nothing to download. Can You help me?

17:34 Anderson: As the Palm pre released only on specific carriers like O2 in Germany, it is fully functional within the Carrier network. As you are using Vodafone the App Catalog downloads may not work.
17:34 Anderson: In some cases it will download some Pre apps but cannot check the functionalities.

17:39 Ákos Simon: So your answer is, that I can do nothing? The phone that I bought for 360 EUR is near unuseable. Do You (Palm/HP) think, that it's OK so? Why can't I download Apps, if im by Vodafone? Why is it good for Palm/HP?! I can't understand it.

17:42 Anderson: I can understand your concern. Are you receiving any error when you try to open App Catalog?
17:43 Ákos Simon: No. Thats seems to work, but ther are no Applications to select. Even if I search for example for "Facebbok", there are no results.
17:43 Anderson: Yes, I got you.
17:45 Anderson: As the Palm Pre hasn't released on Vodafone, you will not be able to find any applications in App Catalog. If you are using O2, you will be able to find and download the applications without any issues.
17:45 Anderson: Since the applications needs to be certified by the carrier as well.
17:48 Ákos Simon: Why, why, why and why?!?!? OK, I see, there is no solution for my problem. Im am very disappointed and sad. It's so bad..

17:49 Anderson: I would have feel the same if it happens to me.
17:50 Anderson: As of now, there are only limited carriers that has contract with Palm. Only with those carriers like O2, the App Catalog will work.

17:52 Anderson: We are continuously trying to extend our business. Once the Palm establish contract with Vodafone, you will be able to download applications.

17:56 Ákos Simon: I think, that is not the best way to make WebOS popular. With my Palm Treo I was able Install any applications, withaut limits. This is form me a big step backwards. I can't understand it, but I can understan, that you can do nothing. Thank you. Have a nice day!
